Galway Office
Rent The Runway established its European Technology Hub in Galway in April 2019. Based in the historic Claddagh area of the city, the growing team in Galway tackles core technology challenges and influences the next generation of services critical to Rent The Runway’s success and continued growth.
The Galway office is Rent the Runway's first international office outside the US and enables the company to significantly expand its Software Engineering, Product Development, Machine Learning Engineering and Data Science footprint. Rent The Runway’s Galway-based employees have the opportunity to grow their careers across several roles and career paths in Technology.
About the Team:
Data is core to our growing business and has been ingrained in the company's DNA since its founding. As a member of the Business Intelligence team, you will arm stakeholders with data to measure performance and insights, driving continuous improvements across the company. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining RTR’s core data model, defining and analyzing performance metrics, building reports, and enabling self-service report solutions . Business Intelligence is an important sub-team within the RTR Finance organization.
About the Job:
We are looking for an Analyst to develop and manage crucial data models that describe the performance of our inventory. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Data Science, Buying, Planning, and Finance. You will own the creation of rich reporting and data visualizations , enabling functional leaders to quickly digest information and make decisions. In collaboration, you will define KPIs and set attainable, stretch goals to drive continuous improvement. You will be a key contributor to the culture of the team, and you will have opportunities for growth and leadership as we expand.
What You’ll Do:
Partner closely with Data Science, Buying, Planning, and Finance teams to identify, scope, and fill data visibility gaps
Work with Product and Engineering to ensure we collect data required to support business objectives
Create scalable, reusable datasets with appropriate architecture
Build Looker dashboards to showcase and disseminate key insights throughout the organization
Define and monitor KPIs to influence decisions throughout RTR
Become a go-to business partner with deep understanding of inventory data, insights and impact
Promote and assimilate best practices across the Data Teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Technology, Business or related fields; advanced degrees and/or specializations a plus
1-2+ years of hands-on experience with large, complex data sets; high proficiency using relational databases and writing queries in SQL (experience with dimension modeling and/or dbt is a plus!)
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker
Ability to communicate effectively with wide-range of audiences
Ability to quickly ramp up on new tools/software
Ability to work autonomously and provide direction in a complex environment
Passion for data and its fundamental ability to create value
Extremely curious and excited to dive into complex problems
