Technical Qualifications:
8+ years' experience in Data Engineering of highly scalable data platforms/ecosystems.
5+ years’ experience in building and managing data platforms/ecosystems.
3+ years’ experience in Snowflake with knowledge in distributed computing preferred.
Demonstrated innate passion for Data Engineering and data architecture pertaining to Analytics.
Knowledge of Cloud data solutions, data engineering, data platforms and analytics and modern ways of automating data ingesting using cloud-based and on-premise technologies.
Hands-on experience in cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
Proficiency in SQL and database table design – able to write structured and efficient queries on large data sets.
Experience in a role performing data warehouse and analytics solution design and development using a variety of techniques.
Understanding of data architecture design, data modeling, and physical database design and tuning.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, and/or Power BI

Team Management
+5 years of experience managing a team of individual developers, supporting Go-To-Market, or Sales preferred
Responsible for interviewing, selecting and training associates
Must effectively resolve associate matters
Responsible for day-to-day tactical team decisions
Required to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Accountable for team’s use and adherence to the IOPSBI development methodology
Create/maintain team staffing and scheduling, to include time tracking
Demonstrated ability to schedule and execute data update releases
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and assign tactical requests to the team
Effectively provide associate feedback through regular objective reviews and by writing and delivering Annual Performance Reviews
Working with associates to collaboratively establish an Individual Development Plan and review them on a timely basis
Track associate performance and provide them with appropriate feedback
This is a full time position and the candidate is expected to report into Pure Storage’s Bangalore office.
You will be based in Bangalore, India. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
