At Nuna, our mission is to make high-quality healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone. We are dedicated to tackling one of our nation’s biggest problems with ingenuity, creativity, and a keen moral compass. Nuna is committed to simple principles: a rigorous understanding of data, modern technology, and most importantly, compassion and care for our fellow human. We want to know what really works, what doesn't—and why.
Nuna partners with healthcare payers, including government agencies and health plans, to turn data into learnings and information into meaning.
YOUR TEAM
The Design team at Nuna designs experiences for a complex ecosystem of people, products, and services to design and operate value-based care programs that pay providers based on outcomes. We embrace an anthropological approach to design: curiosity, respect, passion, narrative, and systems-thinking fuel our success. We also have a deep appreciation for the crafts of design and research - we like to geek out over typography, grids, color, microinteractions, design studios, journey maps and developing and sharing compelling, change-making insights.
As a Product Designer at Nuna, you’ll work with product managers and solutions leads to understand the needs of our internal and external customers responsible for the operations of value-based care programs. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers and healthcare data analysts to build delightful, simple and engaging experiences that support our customers monitoring and acting on issues that emerge during the end-to-end data lifecycle and building confidence in the final results.
YOUR OPPORTUNITIES
You will support the delivery of actionable reporting and penny-level accurate payment calculations for value based programs. Nuna processes multiple data streams from customers. Ensuring the quality and integrity of the data as it is processed, enriched and transformed in our systems, is essential to making sure that every data point in the final product experience is accurate. This includes:
Advocating for our internal and external customers' needs and goals
Owning design projects from initial explorations to detailed interactions and pixel-perfect visuals
Proactively finding and proposing ways to make every part of the product more joyful and easy to use
Developing a deep understanding of the needs of customers (including the internal and external operators that manage and monitor this data lifecycle as well as the health plan executives that monitor key business KPIs) and advocating on their behalf across the company
Crafting smart and scrappy generative and evaluative research opportunities to ensure we’re building the right thing for our customers
Giving and soliciting feedback from designers and cross-disciplinary partners throughout the design process
Extending and evolving our design pattern library
