As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for a broad range of product and technical initiatives, typically the most complex and difficult problems to solve, working closely with product teams to correctly implement and deliver solutions. You will champion and help continuously improve our best practices, standards, and architecture while working with the latest software practices and technologies such as microservices, cloud design patterns, automated CI/CD pipeline, Kubernetes, and AWS. Above all, your work will impact people’s interactions with the healthcare system.
Partner with Product Owners, Product Design, and Engineers to create innovative & robust business solutions for external and internal users with a focus on stability and scalability.
Own complex projects from start to finish including working with other departments and help shape success conditions
Drive engineering best practices across the team, advocating for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
Research and evangelize new best practices, technologies, and methodologies for team adoption.
Build and maintain technical documentation to enable team scalability and technical auditability.
Collaborate with Engineering Managers to identify and prioritize technical initiatives for tech debt prevention and payment.
Mentor Engineers and Senior Engineers on technical best practices and skills
Your experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
8+ years of software development experience across the stack including client-side, server-side, and infrastructure technologies.
Python 4+ years experience
SQL 3+ years experience
AWS 3+ years experience
Advanced knowledge of engineering principles in solving complex technical problems in distributed systems.
Hands-on leadership experience going into the details for software design, code, build, test, deploy, and support.
Hands-on experience mentoring engineers to build scalable, resilient, consumer-facing mobile and web distributed solutions.
Experience in authoring and maintaining technical documentation of architectures, workflows, business logic, and decisions.

Base Compensation Range for Job Level: $140,000-$190,000 Annually
The cash compensation above includes base salary only. Certain roles are eligible for additional cash incentives such as commission, annual bonus targets, overtime pay or other variable incentives.
