The Role
The SVP, FP&A will be the right-hand person to the CFO and lead the FP&A reporting functions for the Company. The ideal candidate will be a strategic executive with a proven track record of developing the robust financial reports, controls and KPIs that are necessary for the management of a fast growing data company.
The SVP, FP&A will be responsible for all financial planning activities and tracking of performance. The SVP, FP&A will be an integral part of Management’s decision-making process on all business, operating, and strategic initiatives. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the financial infrastructure and processes required to produce superior forecasting and analytical reports.
As a successful leader in this role you will build an effective business partnership with senior leaders (including C-level) and provide strategic finance support and thought leadership in support of Company goals and objectives. Additionally, the SVP, FP&A will interact directly with the SVP, Finance during the monthly accounting close process, the Chief Revenue Officer to maintain sales pipelines and revenue models, the Chief Strategy Officer to assist on M&A transactions, the SVP, Investor Relations on external investor reporting.
DoubleVerify is in high growth mode and in need of an FP&A leader that can meet the requirements of increased accountability, controls and visibility, both internally and externally. The SVP of FP&A will manage a team of approximately 20 professionals responsible for, among other items, annual budgeting and forecasting, weekly sales pipeline reporting, commissions tracking and calculations, external IR analytics support. This role is an ideal stepping stone to a CFO position and is based at the company’s headquarters in New York.
The successful candidate will have a collaborative and flexible management style, and strong interpersonal skills to match the culture of DoubleVerify. This role will require hands-on involvement in all day-to-day financial planning and analysis details of the company to best understand it and continue to transform it into a high-performing function.
Primary Responsibilities
FP&A
Design and produce actionable reports for senior management to track performance and support business decision-making
Own the full process of reporting and forecasting for the company including revenue and P&L forecasting, budgeting and financial review meetings
Continuously develop and improve a financial reporting process that is automated, streamlined, scalable, and integrated into the company’s CRM and other systems
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders and external lenders and investors
Coordinate and prepare monthly Board packages
Ensure financial diligence and integration of M&A transactions
Advocate for the advancement of our internal reporting tool in conjunction with the Business Intelligence team
Team
Lead and develop a top-quality team to support the growing needs of the company
Manage the FP&A department and develop career opportunities for staff
Develop departmental goals, policies and operating procedures
Develop cross-functional processes and structures that improve the efficiency of the FP&A organization
Required Skills & Qualifications
15+ years of related experience, with increasing levels of responsibility and seniority
Prior CFO experience at a smaller company or SVP Finance in a larger organization
Demonstrated knowledge of finance, accounting and GAAP principles
Experience in building and managing a team in a fast-paced environment
Track record of driving positive results in hands-on environments
Excellent Excel skills
Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce and Tableau preferred
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [$206,250- $302,500]. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
