Position Overview
As the Director - Business Technology (BT) Application Development and Support you will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and support of our corporate applications, including Salesforce, NetSuite, Open Air, GainSight, DocuSign CLM, and other critical software applications. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding the India Business Technology team, ensuring alignment with the global BT strategies and goals.
You will be a critical member of the BT leadership team and work closely with BT leaders and cross functionally across various functions to support projects, agile development practices and help with setting and maintaining global application support standards.
You will lead change management activities on existing and new technology adoption and work with key stakeholders to understand and manage expectations and provide technical consultation. You will provide leadership in continuously improving all areas of agile innovation, program management, strategic systems design, partner relations, innovation landscaping and enterprise-wide scale of operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and strategy
Provide strategic direction for the development and support of corporate applications.
Collaborate with head of BT and other stakeholders to define technology roadmaps.
Lead the India Business Technology team, providing mentorship and guidance.
Application Development and Enhancement
Oversee the development and customization of corporate applications to meet business requirements.
Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance the functionality and performance of applications.
Ensure adherence of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies.
Application support
Manage a team of support professionals to provide timely and effective support for corporate applications.
Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high quality support.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Vendor Management
Collaborate with third -party vendors to evaluate, select, and implement new software solutions.
Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with service agreements.
Team Development
Build and nurture a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and developing talent.
Forer a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning with the team.
Security and Compliance
Ensure the corporate applications adhere to security and compliance standards.
Collaborate with security team to implement robust data protection and measures.
Budget Management
Develop and manage budgets for application development and support activities.
Optimize costs while delivering quality services.
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Proven (8+) experience in leading application development and support teams.
Strong expertise in corporate applications such as Salesforce and NetSuite. Experience with others like OpenAir, GainSight, DocuSign CLM etc. a significant plus.
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and vendor relationships.
Excellent leadership, mentoring and team building skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with security and compliance standards in the industry.
Adaptable and flexible to work with a Global BT team.
