WHAT YOU’LL DO
Collaborate across the broader IT Operations team and Corporate Security team to maintain, operate, and optimize core parts of our corporate IT infrastructure stack.
Design, develop, and implement IT infrastructure systems and automation to address business stakeholder requirements and security needs.
Lead security patching efforts to ensure critical parts of our systems and services are free of vulnerabilities and maintenance is performed with minimal disruption to end users.
Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices, accuracy, optimization, and adherence to coding standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT Operations team members, sharing expertise and driving excellence across IT Infrastructure and Automation.
Stay up-to-date with IT industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement of our solutions.
WHO YOU ARE
BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience in related field
3+ years in IT Operations, Technical Operations or Engineering preferably at a fast-paced high-growth company
Technical certifications preferred across IT Operations domain (e.g. ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, RHCSA, MCSA, etc. )
Strong networking foundation (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks) and ability to use Wireshark for troubleshooting issues.
Experience with one or more programming languages relevant to scripting, automation, and interacting with APIs (Python, Bash, PowerShell, PHP, Perl, Ruby).
Working knowledge of essential IT security concepts.
Strong ability to analyze and solve complex business problems.
Strong ability to interact with and understand complex technical requirements across all levels of the organization.
Advanced technical proficiency and/or experience across the following systems/services:
IaaS: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Orchestration/Configuration Management (IaC): Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Terragrunt, Artifactory
Core Infrastructure: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Domain Services, Okta, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS
DBMS: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server
Web Platforms: Apache, Tomcat, NGINX, IIS
Monitoring & Logging: Datadog, ThousandEyes, PagerDuty, Splunk
Core Automation: Hire-to-Retire Employee Lifecycle, Administrative & Employee Tooling,
Low-code Platforms: Okta Workflows, Workato, Snaplogic
Security: Secure DNS, IDS/IPS, EDR, Firewalls
Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including working with a geographically distributed team.
Ability to remain focused and calm during IT Operations incident response
Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
Exhibit professional decorum interfacing with company leaders
High energy and passion for your work and achievements
Excellent teamwork skills and positive energy
Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure ongoing success of the team and company
