Sr. Product ManagerPosition SummaryAs a Sr. Product Manager you will lead a product line portfolio in the Applications BU. You will be responsible for defining and managing the Product Lifecycle to expand our market leadership. You will work closely with finance, engineering, sales, and marketing to bring our new innovations to life for our customers. In this role you will be the voice of our customers and therewith ensure we meet their needs with every new product introduction. You will own the technical and cost roadmap within your portfolio of products. The Technical roadmap will require a systems level of technology understanding to properly align what the market is asking with what is technically feasible. This will require cross-functional work between the product and engineering teams. Moreover, this role will require a deep understanding of what the market pricing will allow, and appropriate cost targets will be set by the Sr. Product Manager. This will require cross-functional work with finance, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering.As a key member of the Business Unit team, you will focus on meeting performance objectives on all projects related to your product line.The successful candidate must have the presence and presentation skills to represent Plug Power in front of customers and at key industry forums. You must also have the industry knowledge and experience to establish and communicate a long-term vision for Plug Power products and among our customers and partners. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain technical product roadmap aligned with Plug Power strategy and priorities to grow our product leadershipDevelop and maintain cost product roadmap aligned with Plug Power strategy and priorities to grow our product leadershipCollect and synthesize customer insights and competitive intelligence through customer interviews, market research, and industry leadersGenerate Market Requirements and Business Cases for new product development projectsExecute a comprehensive product lifecycle process from strategic planning to end-of-lifeCreate and deliver product positioning, pricing, and value proposition materialsCoordinate and execute launch activities and deliverables for new product introduction, working closely with sales, service, and marketing teamsCollaborate with Finance, Sales, and Service to identify market potential and establish pricing and market strategiesCollaborate with Supply Chain, Advanced Souring, Manufacturing to enable product successMinimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field7+ years of relevant experience in Product Management/Application Engineering/Product Development Engineering/Finance/Marketing in an innovative, technical environmentAbility to travel 25% of the timeDesired SkillsMaster’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with renewable energy, hydrogen systems, green energyExperience within industrial trucks and batteries, fleet management, utilities, or other related industries preferred.Industry experience in business-to-business aligned sales, engineering, or marketingExcellent written/oral communication and presentation skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity and the undefined.Creative problem-solver, with ability to work independently and drive for results.Passionate for solving customer needs, turning them in product specifications for engineering.Experience with a global technical and manufacturing company is highly desirable.Strong desire to join a growth-oriented technology company and to operate in a fast-paced environment.Cross-functional team player, with leadership skills and ability to build trust at all levels of the organizationStrong quantitative and analytical skills.
