This role is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a minimum of 10 years of experience and a well-established network of media contacts in the energy sector. The Senior PR and Communications Specialist will be a driving force in shaping and executing our communication strategies across Europe, focusing on building our brand presence. Exceptional attention to detail, a high level of creativity, impeccable standards, and the ability to get things done on time will be key to your success.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive PR and communications strategies tailored to the energy industry across Europe.Leverage your established network of media relationships to secure coverage for Plug and its initiatives.Collaborate effectively with external PR agencies to enhance our reach and impact across the EU media landscape.Craft compelling press releases, articles, and communication materials that effectively communicate our messages to target audiences.Collaborate closely with the US-based communications team to ensure a cohesive global communication approach.Monitor industry trends and news to identify opportunities for proactive engagement and thought leadership.Manage crisis communication efforts, providing timely and effective responses to mitigate potential reputational risks.Work with agency to plan and execute impactful product launches, media events, and campaigns specific to the European energy sector.Monitor and analyze the performance of communication strategies using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible PR and communications experience, with exposure to the energy industry.Established network of media contacts and relationships in the EU.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French (additional languages are advantageous).Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns.Crisis management expertise, demonstrating poise and effectiveness under pressure.Creative thinker with the ability to craft compelling narratives.Proficiency in PR tools, analytics platforms, and social media management systems.Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Collaborative team player with the ability to work across teams and with diverse stakeholders.Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally to the US.
