Inventory Control Technician Status: Non-Exempt (hourly) Department: Inventory Control Position Summary Will be responsible for daily cycle counts of product ensuring accuracy of inventory records, investigating warehouse discrepancies. The selected candidate should have the ability to work both in a team orientated environment as well as independently. This role will require strong attention to detail and meticulous accuracy. The ideal candidate must possess a high degree of flexibility, the ability to competently respond to direction and meet scheduling demands, stand for long periods of time, and the ability to satisfy the physical demands of the position. Applicants for this position must be extremely safety conscious. Prior inventory experience is preferred. Core Duties and Responsibilities · Conduct daily cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods and WIP wherever necessary · Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment · Ability to learn multiple business processes including details surrounding manufacturing, warehousing and WIP processes. · Clear and professional communication with leadership, and internal/external customers · Assist where needed as directed by the Inventory Leadership team · Ability to perform basic math calculations such as add, subtract, multiply, divide and compute rate and ratio · Actively participant in yearly physical inventory support, including preparation, execution and wrap up · Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory locations while conducting counts · Operation of material handling equipment including but not limited to, forklifts and pallet jacks · Perform other related duties as assigned · Ability to learn multiple ERP systems Education and Experience · High school diploma or equivalent · Work experience in inventory control is strongly preferred · Driven and self-motivated individual · High degree of organizational/analytical skills · Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand · Team player with a positive communication style · Ability to stand for long periods of time in performance of job functions · Frequent lifting, bending, and pulling · Frequent lifting, bending, standing and pulling · Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted · Occasional operation of hand tools · Knowledge of Microsoft Office and prior ERP experience preferred · Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Role model for high standards of professionalism · Results-oriented and driven work style · Knowledge of warehouse operations · Flexibility to travel between Plug facilities as required
