Value Stream ManagerStatus: Exempt (salary) Department: OperationsPosition SummaryThe Value Stream Manager will lead a Value Stream with extreme ownership in a manufacturing setting supplying the fuel cell industry. Broad responsibility for overall operations of a value stream; including but not limited to, financial performance including P&L and asset management, strategic planning, forecasting and overall performance of the business unit. The Value Stream Manager will provide excellent leadership to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop work force, reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee the day-to-day activities of the value stream to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement activities.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnforce safety policies and procedures. Correct behaviors, as needed.Enforce Standard Work and SOPs for all processes. Create either, as needed.Ensure entire value stream’s staff are properly trained, resourced, supplied, and managed to attain strategic objectives.Execute root cause analysis utilizing one of many tools (5-why, Ishikawa, Pareto, etc.) and drive team to finding and implementing irreversible corrective actions.Utilize lean tools and procedures and GMP within value stream to minimize process variation.Work cross-departmentally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, other Value Stream Managers, etc.Build a team and ensure a team atmosphere exists within the value stream and greater organization.Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reporting in pursuit of goals, objectives and KPIs.Create and lead a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction.Create and lead a culture of teamwork and accountability.Education and ExperienceBS Degree in a technical or business field with 4 years’ experience OR 5-10 years of leading people in a manufacturing setting.5-7 years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity. Previous P&L ownership experience preferred.Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results by meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities.Lean/Six Sigma Experience. Involvement or leadership in lean process improvements and/or implementation is required.Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of ISO and IATF requirements.Pay Rate:$86,815.00 - $138,904.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓ Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
