Process Improvement Coordinator Status: Non-ExemptDepartment: Inventory ControlLocation: Latham/VistaPosition Summary Process Improvement Coordinator will work with cross-functional teams to understand and help optimize the physical and systematic flow of materials as well as composing instructional documents and training programs to support these processes. This role requires a challenging mix of hands-on work, solving problems, validation and driving solutions with cross-functional teams. The Materials Process Technician requires skills and experience creating process documentation that clearly and efficiently communicates concepts, ideas, and instructions and can effectively execute the training of those document to all levels of the business. You will be on the front line between the process changes and full implementation. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesCapture information regarding the find details of materials processes and write standard work instructions and training documents to support themWrite a plan for and execute training for all impacted associates in materials and inventory control teamsAssist in the creation and implementation of new PC processes (i.e., receiving, dock, warehousing, inventory control, etc.)Support special projects for Materials and Inventory Control teams including layout implementation, signage, labeling as requiredMaintain good professional communication with different departments/stakeholders to maintain alignment and achieve common goalsValidate processes that solve for safety, ergonomics, productivity, transacting accuracy, repeatability validation and quality of material flow processUtilize computerized inventory systems to ensure system data required for effective material flow processes is maintained accuratelyAbility to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines (simultaneously managing multiple documentation projects).Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around business demandPerform other related duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferredDriven and self-motivated individualWork experience in lean manufacturing and warehousing is strongly preferredHigh degree of organizational skills and time managementExcellent problem-solving skills with heavy focus on quality and attention to detailExemplary verbal and written communication skills, with a proficiency in English grammar, spelling and punctuation.Excellent listening and observation skills.Team player with a positive communication style and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphereDemonstrated Experience with multiple systems (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, Avante, Power BI and other sub systems used in Material Handling and Inventory Control)Ability to stand for long periods of time in performance of job functionsRole model for high standards of professionalismPossibility of frequent lifting, bending and pullingMust be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. unassistedOperation of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacksPay Rate:$22.12 - $31.68We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
