Senior Project Controls Analyst - SchedulerDepartment: PMO (Project Controls)Status: Exempt (salaried)Position SummaryThe Senior Project Controls Analyst/Scheduler is part of the Project Controls team responsible for Scheduling and Actionable reporting and effective delivery of Hydrogen Liquification Plants and plays an integral role in ensuring the success of these projects. This role will focus on creating and maintaining schedules of Hydrogen Liquification facilities. This individual will develop, maintain, and publish Project Schedules.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates ability to generate accurate Project Schedules using Primavera P6 software. (and MS Project as needed)Capable of developing schedules for a variety of Energy (Renewables, Oil and Gas) and other various industrial/manufacturing processes and systemsDevelopment of schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, constraints and resource loading of cost and hours along with the regular maintenance and periodic updating of the schedulesCommunicates and coordinates between various individuals and departments on each project to pro-actively manage the schedule, update progress and anticipate delays.Reviewing third party submitted schedules for the owner to validate compliance with specifications, staging and logicTakes responsibility for validation of scheduled activitiesCreates milestone schedules for delivery of engineering deliverables, equipment, raw materials or subcontracted work and laborFunctions as a productive team member in the scheduling and development of engineering projects from conception to completionReviews and analyzes Notices of Change and Requests for Change for schedule impactAssists in preparing Schedule Analysis reports with Explanation of Schedule VariancesDemonstrates ability and willingness to execute other project controls activities such as cost and budget monitoring, issue management, meeting facilitation, document control and monthly status reporting to the OwnerWorks as a team member to meet project execution and schedule goalsSupports development of project plans and production scheduleAssists BD efforts by creating base schedules and timelines for potential projectsEducation and ExperienceA minimum of 5 years experience as a project scheduler in the industrial engineering and/or construction industryExperience in developing project schedules utilizing Primavera P6, MS Project or other scheduling toolsExemplary communication skills, written, analytical, negotiating and interpersonal are essentialIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills for cost reportingMust be capable of independent work in fast paced, schedule driven environmentsKnowledge of engineering, supply chain, and construction processesAbility to work on multiple complex project efforts at a timeSound business sense with the flexibility to modify processes or procedures to achieve goals as information changes and project events unfoldSkilled at building relationships and influencing team members at all levels of the organization, including at the senior levelsAbility to effectively accomplish goals working with field-based and remote team membersWork experience in Hydrogen and/or fuel cells, renewable energy, cryogenic industry, High Pressure Systems, gas processing and/or dispensing equipment, oil and gas, CNG, LNG, etc., or pharmaceuticals strongly preferredAttending/conducting client or sub-contractor schedule reviews, and other vendor interfacingCost/Earned Value experience is a plusCapitol Cost Estimating is a plus
