Assistant Controller, Energy SolutionsStatus: Exempt (Salaried) Department: Finance/AccountingLocation: Latham, NY and Rochester, NYPosition SummaryThe Assistant Controller, Energy Solutions role is an integral position in the financial operations team and Energy Solutions Business Unit. This role is critical to help drive strategic decision making within the Energy Systems space based upon the measurement of financial data. This position is tasked to assist the operations team building out and providing ongoing financial metrics and data points so that business strategies can be refined and improved. The Assistant Controller must also be available to help develop custom reporting and provide fact-based guidance upon request for various Energy System business purposes. This role requires a high degree of data-driven analytical support and operational communications with the Energy Systems Operations team. Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete monthly/quarterly close cost accounting entries for Energy Solutions business, including inventory for fuel in tanks, allocations for picked-up molecule and generated molecule, and other cost reporting processes Prepare and Develop key SOX controls on a monthly and quarterly basis Manage S&OP process with various KPIs and metricsReview revenue input into Vena monthly and perform a revenue by customer analysisPublish monthly H2 Operations Fuel Report and ensure Vena reporting is configured properlyAssist the Finance Manager, FP&A with budgeting and forecasting Energy Systems costs. Work with Operations teams to accurately forecast financial dataAssist the Finance Manager, Hydrogen Operations and Logistics with build out of metrics and accounting for current and future hydrogen plantsLeverage Business Intelligence tools to reduce manual work and automate financial reportingPrepare ad hoc reports and analysis as defined by the operations leadership team for business needsDevelop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communicationProvide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision makingRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceBachelors degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA or MBA desiredSix (6) or more years of related work experienceFinancial systems configuration experienceCost Accounting experienceDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailSuperior communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office softwareAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyAbility to role model high standards of professionalismExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPay Rate:$75,240.00 - $112,860.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:✓Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
