Job Requisition ID #23WD69847Position OverviewThe Senior Director of Global Workplace Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the physical workplace operations across Autodesk's global footprint. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize workplace efficiency, safety, and sustainability while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.ResponsibilitiesStrategy Development: Develop and execute strategies to ensure that workplace operations align with the organization's goals and objectives, including optimizing space utilization, reducing costs, and enhancing employee experience.Oversee the day to day running of our global Workplace operations including workplace management, employee amenities, office services, health & safety & the project management of smaller scale facility projects i.e. less than $250k in value.Plan, submit, review and manage global workplace operations budget closely partnering with our Finance Business Partner.Partner with our Strategic Planning Team and understand regional business strategies and translate them to facility operational requirements, providing quality facility services.Partner within the peer groups with Workplace & Travel (Real Estate, Project and Safety & Security) and across the company (People Business Partners, Finance, IT, Procurement & Legal) to ensure that facility goals and objectives are achieved.Proactively identify and recommend initiatives that focus on service improvements, cost reductions, quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry trends and other relevant factors that affect workplace effectiveness (BMS, lighting, HVAC, furniture, etc.).Oversee the efficient delivery of facility services, considering the following as performance measures: quality, cost and timeliness.Communicate with internal stakeholders & leaders to ensure alignment and smooth execution of facility projects on time and within budget.Sustainability: Develop and execute strategies to reduce the organization's environmental impact through sustainable workplace practices, such as energy-efficient lighting and waste reduction initiatives.Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the global workplace operations team, ensuring that team members are engaged, motivated, and equipped with the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in facilities or workplace operations management, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role. The candidate should have a deep understanding of workplace trends, technologies, and best practices, as well as experience managing complex global workplace operations. Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills are essential for this role.Minimum Qualifications15+ years working in Workplace Operations or equivalent areaA proven track record of working collaboratively with subject matter experts on cross-functional teams, balancing disparate priorities, and rapid problem solving in high-stress situationsExperience working within cross-functional teams to drive successExperience in accounting including building and managing budget processesExperience managing multiple prioritiesStrong customer service and problem resolution experienceExperience with problem solving for technology and vendor issues (key driver of work-around philosophy) how best to get the most desired results within designed protocolsExperience working with multiple levels of management, including C-suiteExperience creating and presenting strategy to executive level managementPreferred QualificationsBS/BA preferred or equivalent professional experienceExceptional communication leadership and presentation skillsStrong knowledge of Global Workplace OperationsAdvanced user of Microsoft Office programsAbility to multi-task and prioritize under deadline-driven environment.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-trust relationships and form teams.Strong critical thinking and analytical capability including project management experience leading cross functional initiatives with a desire to influence and lead change at the enterprise level.Thorough knowledge of budget management process and accounting/reconciliation of budgetsDemonstrated success in problem solving and finding appropriate solutions.High level of customer-service focusProfessional and mature attitude with measured response to working under pressure.Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $187,500 and $303,380. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
