Autodesk's Ecommerce Engineering team is looking for an experienced Senior Fullstack engineer who will report into the Manager of Software Development and is passionate about building and delivering solutions into our common platform. As part of the Ecommerce Engineering team, you will implement new features that engage and influence Autodesk customers worldwide. Our team faces a variety of unique and interesting challenges, from creating new tools and components, implementing important services, creating new and engaging end-user experiences, to digging into low-level performance details and streamlining processes. As an ideal candidate, you have experience working on teams developing modern cloud-based services, in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to build and guide teams, while inspiring them to remain working with the latest technology.Position is Hybrid, can be located in San Francisco, Portland, Toronto, Montreal, Toronto or AtlantaResponsibilitiesDevelop new featuresDocument architectural decisions and code design specificationsFocus on quality, including writing unit/integration tests and refactoring when appropriate.Break apart complex projects into manageable chunksWork closely with architects, technical leads, product owners, and others to drive towards a common visionProvide insightful leadership to achieve a high software engineering standard, including efficiency, quality, security, resiliency, and other best practicesDesign and build solutions, frameworks, automation, and orchestration for a broad range of applicationsBe responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projectsCollaborate with a geographically-dispersed team and stakeholdersBe a passionate and empathetic advocate of architecture, design and software engineering principlesMinimum QualificationsStrong knowledge and experience with server-side Java applicationsExperience developing efficient and reliable RESTful APIs Strong knowledge and working experience with micro-services and web servicesExperience developing efficient and reliable Node applicationsExperience with Object-Oriented and Functional programming paradigmsHave knowledge of industry best practices and good software architectureAn understanding of current trends in web and API developmentExperience with continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins Experience with Java/JavaScript testing frameworks (Junit, WireMock, Mockito, Jest etc.)Experience with Amazon Web Services (i.e. EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, CloudFormation, and others)5 or more years of relevant programming experienceGreat communication skills and proven ability to work as part of a teamBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experienceProficiency in spoken and written EnglishPreferred QualificationseCommerce experienceExperience of public cloud service platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS)Knowledge of relational databases and NO SQLWrite clean, testable, effective code and help others do it too - our language of choice is Java, Node#LI-RM2Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $109,400 and $188,760. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
