Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):$190,900.00 - $354,500.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.Infinera also offers paid leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life, and disability insurance and toeligible employees. The role of Vice President of Global Supplier Management is a key role within the Operations Leadership team.  This leader will oversee >$800 million in spend which is split between Direct (i.e., COGS) and Indirect (expense and service items) cost centers.  Responsibilities encompass not only the identification, certification and ongoing management of suppliers, but also sourcing governance, purchasing policies, and cost controls across Infinera’s global footprint.    Lead the sourcing and procurement of direct/indirect materials and third-party manufacturing services globally across the company. This includes sourcing strategy, planning, risk mitigation, demand balancing, supplier development, contracting, procurement, and supplier evaluation – all in a socially responsible environment.  Drive continuous quarter-over-quarter reductions in direct and indirect spend while simultaneously improving supplier performance as measured by a balance TQRDC scorecard.  This role also encompasses Supply Base and Component Engineering to ensure that all supplier quality is owned by one Business Leader. This role works closely with New Product Introduction and Test Engineering to ensure Sourcing Methodologies are implemented.  Role owns Sourcing Council and Product Resiliency score model across all platforms and has significant alignment with Product Management and Design Engineering. Sourcing Strategy:Develop sourcing strategies in both Commodity Management and Indirect Category Management, that supports Infinera near and long-term financial, product and operational objectives. Collaborate with functions across Infinera to identify critical needs and constraints relative to the supply of direct materials and indirect expenses.  Meet with existing suppliers to understand their capabilities and ability to engage in a long-term / win-win relationship with Infinera.  Identify gaps in the existing supplier base and potential means of bridging the gaps.  Use these inputs to craft a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for Infinera that minimizes capital outlays, material cost and inventory while securing supply. Planning:  Develop and implement a supplier segmentation framework that can be used to rationalize the supply base. Identify key suppliers that are tightly coupled to Infinera success; determine opportunities for second sources; and develop new sources where needed. Create balanced supplier scorecards for each category of supply and consolidate scorecards into management reporting systems. Execution:Advance systems and processes to efficiently enable a flexible supply chain without burdening Infinera’s inventory position. Proactively work with suppliers to increase scorecard performance in a meaningful way. Continually seek out best practices and leverage supplier capabilities (e.g., Inventory Management, VMI programs, PPV) to Infinera advantage. Governance:  Develop and institutionalize standard sourcing, procurement and requisitioning (Indirect Procurement) processes across Infinera which are agile, effective and non-bureaucratic. Drive consensus on risk management strategies and policies (i.e., price, supply and currency risk) for key materials and services. Create mechanisms to handle extraordinary circumstances such as expedited shipments, one-time purchases, and natural disasters.  Role owns Supply Chain Security (ISO27001), CSR and Environmental Programs. Team DevelopmentStructure the global sourcing function around commodity and category management teams. Lead by example and enhance the skills / capabilities of the Sourcing team. Create a can do; culture in the Sourcing team and build an organization that works well with other functions, can handle a large workload, and places an emphasis on excellence rather than perfection. Minimum Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Professional Experience:·         At least 12 years of professional experience that includes 4-5 years in a Director level position.  Has experience managing smaller teams of roughly 40 people.Industry Experience:·         Significant time in a sector characterized by low volume, high mix, high value components sold to a limited customer base.  Relevant sectors include carrier-class networking, high performance servers, enterprise storage, aerospace & defense. Functional Experience:Has led a Global Sourcing Organization responsible for strategic components, commodities and indirect materials representing at least $800 million in spend.·         Driven continuous improvement in existing suppliers.·         Negotiated and drove quarter-over-quarter price reductions while simultaneously balancing the need for quality and vendor viability. ·         Created robust SCM processes for supplier performance, improvement and risk assessment/management.·         Crafted out-of-the-box sourcing strategies and successfully executed against plan.·         Identified and developed new suppliers as secondary and tertiary sources.·         Implemented sourcing solutions including DFx and VMI solutions.·         Experience in CM Management with a global footprint in Asia, Europe and North America Education Required:Undergraduate degree from a respected institution, preferably in a technical discipline (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) or Operations Research; MBA preferred. #LI-DW1#LI-RemoteInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
