Senior Electrical Component Engineer

Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):-At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.Infinera also offers paid leave, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life, and disability insurance and toeligible employees.As a Senior Electrical Component Engineer, your key responsibilities will be:Manage electronic components life cycleClosely work with supply chain team to provide technical supportSupport production engineering, design team for electrical component / supplier selection and qualificationWork with contract manufacturer and component suppliers to qualify componentsDrive component failure analysis activities and supplier corrective actionsRoutinely monitor component supplier’s qualityWork with supplier chain people to find alternative components in terms of shortageProvide technical support to reduce supply risk, reduce cost on componentsReview and manage component suppliers’ PCN and coordinate with internal team for further actionsData analysis to monitor supplier component performance and reliabilityFrequently communicate with global internal teams and component suppliersQualifications:MS in Electrical Engineering3+ years of experience on electrical components engineering, manufacture, process controlBroad knowledge on electronic and semiconductor components and suppliersSolid background in electronic and semiconductor components including memory, CPU/MCU, FPGA, timing componentsFamiliar with Industrial standard like IC package, JEDEC standardsStrong communication skills internally, externally with contract manufacturer and component supplierWorking experience with SiliconExpert, product development management toolFamiliar with Agile system is a plus#LI-DW1#LI-RemoteInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
