The Primary RoleAccounting and Finance activities:• Support the LATAM monthly close process by working closely with outsourced providers – local accounting firm• Work in partnership with teams in (LATAM, India, and USA), reviews on Controllership matters, ensuring accuracy and deadlines• Drive continuous improvement of, and provide training and guidance to outsourced partner – local accounting firm• Knowledge and ownership of accounting processes e.g.: accruals, intercompany, FX Gain/Loss, reconciliation processes, payroll, Billing/Revenue and expense operations, cost plus and transfer price calculation, and review• Ensure all local statutory compliance is executed: accounting, tax, legal, and social• Ensure that all queries are resolved in a timely and efficient manner• Undertake periodic reviews of procedures to improve efficiency, and accuracy and reduce risk• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external reporting requirements for LATAM entitiesTaxes activities• Direct and Indirect Tax Knowledge• Annual statutory audits• FS review• Tax Monthly payments calculation.• Tax strategies development:• Keep updated on tax law changes.• Keep updated on applicable law changes.• Risk assessments.• Tax returns process Experience and Skills• Ideally bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA) or equivalent, a master’s degree is a plus• 5 years of experience in a finance position, division of an international Group, or large independent company > 100M USD working under international regulations• Knowledge of International Accounting Principles and some knowledge of USGAAP.• Ability to analyze financial data and provide recommendations. • Used to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.• Strong level of written and oral communication skills with the ability to participate in global and regional projects.• Languages (Oral and written): Portuguese and English are Mandatory, Spanish is a plus.Infinera is an equal opportunity employer.
