We are looking for a System Architect to work on designs, platforms and concepts, preparing such for smooth transition into the development organization.  It involves system level SW design on architectural and solutions level, requirement- and function allocation, as well as defining system qualities and characteristics. The work is done in collaboration with other disciplines such as product management and development cross-functional teams. We expect you can work in an agile team while also taking he responsibility of moving the work forward on your own.We can offer you a place in a dynamic team of experienced system architects, where we work with many technology areas ranging from optical communications at speeds up to 800Gbps, to control systems and management systems used for network turn up, service creation and surveillance.The team works at an overarching system level meaning that hardware, software and firmware are all part of defining products and solutions for building our competitive network products. You will be faced with challenges that require creative and innovative solutions and you will be able to see the results of your contribution in the sense of how it correlates and affects our sales and customers. The role includes collaboration across other sites outside Sweden.Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:Responsible for defining network and SW architecture, solutions, concepts, principles and guidelines.Translate product requirements and customer features into SW architectural specifications and system requirements, including function allocation between products and platforms.Drive technical studies and technical roadmaps.Defining new APIs between system components or products including information modeling, data modeling and API design.Assist with technical expertise and guidanceTight cooperation with other disciplines and an agile organizationGlobal collaborations with other sites within InfineraEducation, skills and experience necessary for success:M.Sc or similar degree within computer science or equivalent educationAt least 5 years working experience of telecommunication or datacom system developmentSystem or SW architecture lead experience including SW design and programmingGood knowledge of industry standards and initiatives, design patterns, protocols, software trends and emerging technologiesExperience in integration of ASICs, FPGAs and CPU platformsExperience in integrating SW on different HW platforms running Linux or an RTOSKnowledge of network technologies such as 5G, IoT, Ethernet, OTN, IPCompetence on communication architectures, interfaces and protocols such as I2C, MDIO, SPI, AMBA, gRPC/gNMI, NetConf, OpenConfig, REST, CoAPGood verbal and written communication in EnglishFlexible, innovative, driven and strong problem-solving skillsWell organized, thorough, motivated, with good leadership and good presentation skillsYou are open to share information and knowledge you gain with your colleaguesWe offer:A position in a great team of experienced system architectsParticipation in dynamic, complex and technology driven projects in a multicultural, international R&D organizationPossibility to develop and improve your technical leadershipA friendly and helpful atmospherePossibilities to explore new and challenging technologiesInternational possibilities of development and internal advancementHighly competent and motivated colleaguesA workplace in beautiful Marievik by the water in Årstaviken with a great supply of lunch restaurants and good communications#LI-GA1Infinera is an equal opportunity employer.
