Your tomorrow looks bright at Ubiquity.Your Role:As a AWS Cloud Performance Engineer in Ubiquity, you will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing the performance of cloud-based / on-premise systems and applications. His/her primary objective will be to ensure that the services meet or exceed performance expectations, deliver excellent user experiences, and handle workloads efficiently. By analyzing, testing, and implementing performance improvements, he/she will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall performance and scalability of our infrastructure.What it will doPerformance Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and benchmark the performance of cloud-based applications, services, and infrastructure components. Identify performance bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.Performance Testing: Design and execute performance tests using various tools and methodologies to simulate real-world scenarios and stress conditions. Analyze test results and identify areas for optimization.Scalability and Capacity Planning: Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to plan and implement strategies for scalability and capacity planning to meet future demands.Performance Tuning: Collaborate with development teams to optimize code, database queries, and configurations to improve performance and resource utilization.Cloud Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation in the cloud environment to ensure efficient utilization of computing resources while minimizing costs.Automation and Tooling: Develop and maintain performance testing scripts and automation tools to streamline performance testing and monitoring processes.Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Respond to performance-related incidents promptly, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Cloud Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud performance best practices, trends, and emerging technologies. Implement industry-leading practices to enhance cloud performance.Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development team, and operations to identify performance-related requirements and propose solutions.Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation of performance test plans, test cases, results, and performance optimization strategies.Load Testing: Design and execute load tests using Locust and Grafana k6, interpreting results to guide system improvements and maintain high performance.Compliance: Work with the security team to ensure that the cloud solutions are compliant with Ubiquity's security standards.What do we need from you?Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience with AWS cloud services, and a deep understanding of cloud computing technology, infrastructure, and cloud development principles and patterns.Experience with performance metrics, monitoring, and load testing tools such as Grafana, Elastic, Locust, and Grafana k6 is plus.Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).Solid knowledge of web technologies, databases, and networking concepts.Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile or iterative methodologies is a must.AWS Certifications (e.g AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is a plus.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues.Proactive attitude with a passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging trends in cloud performance optimization.What we do.Recognized as the #1 CX provider for disruptors and innovators across financial services, healthcare, and e-commerce, Ubiquity was founded on the belief that our clients and their customers deserve better.
