This position will bring specialized skills and experience to resolve complex supply chain issues in creative and effective ways for assigned projects. They will have the opportunity to lead complex projects, apply their unique knowledge and influence across functions.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness partnership between strategic sourcing and product development for new product launch projects within instrumentations.Drive project deliverables by collaborating with cross functional teams and influencing stakeholders.Navigate through ambiguity to define and focus on priorities to deliver business objectives.Negotiates agreements (i.e., development agreement, statements of work, licensing agreement) achieving favorable terms that mitigate business risks and protect Illumina’s IP while maintaining cost competitiveness.Strengthen strategic supplier relationships to reduce business risk and support supplier escalations.Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop capabilities, continuity, and capacity.Support the execution of continuous improvement initiatives within Global Supply Chain.Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Qualifications Minimum Requirements-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experiencesPreferred Qualifications-Strategic thinker; anticipates and develops business opportunities and priorities for future action while also executing on concrete business objectives.Customer focused, able to listen, very responsive, and action oriented to meet business needs while maintaining a positive, professional outlook.Strong analytical skills that allow the successful candidate to extract core data from a variety of sources, draw conclusions and insights, and translate those insights into actions.Business acumen; demonstrated ability to understand financial and legal termsAbility to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines, and rapidly changing priorities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate and build relationships with business partners, suppliers, and regional teams.Experience developing and leading RFx events.Strong negotiator; ability to negotiate the best deal for ILMN and influence upward.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; both domestic and international.Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems.Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).The estimated base salary range for the Sr Staff NPI Sourcing Manager role based in the United States of America is: $124,300 - $186,500. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
