As a Senior Staff Analyst - Information Security Product Security at Illumina, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategic plans to enhance the security of illumina devices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your role will focus on creating a structured intake process for security reviews of devices, authoring detailed work instructions, and maintaining a high level of accountability throughout the security assessment process.Responsibilities:Create and maintain information security policies and procedures related to the assessment and security of medical and genomic devices, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.Develop and execute strategic plans for product security, outlining short-term and long-term goals, risk mitigation strategies, and resource allocation.Establish a structured intake process for security assessments of illumina devices, including risk assessment criteria, documentation requirements, and stakeholder engagement.Lead or assist in conducting security assessments of devices, evaluating vulnerabilities, threats, and risks, and providing recommendations for remediation.Author and maintain detailed work instructions for security assessments, ensuring consistency and accuracy in the evaluation process.Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA guidelines) and ensure that security practices align with these requirements.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, compliance, and legal, to ensure that security measures are integrated into product development and maintenance processes.Maintain a high level of accountability throughout the security assessment process, tracking progress, and reporting on findings to senior management.Create comprehensive reports and documentation of security assessments, findings, and recommendations for both internal and external stakeholders.Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency in security assessment workflows.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in information security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification preferred.Extensive experience in information security, with a focus on product security and policy development.Knowledge of medical device security and relevant regulations is highly desirable.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong project management and organizational skills.High level of accountability and responsibility.Illumina believes that everyone has the ability to make an impact, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, creed, color, gender, religion, marital status, domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, pregnancy, military or veteran status, citizenship status, and genetic information.
