Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Position SummaryReporting to the Senior Director of Product Security, the Cybersecurity Penetration Tester will play a critical role in identifying vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our partners' information systems, networks, and applications. Your mission will be to proactively simulate cyberattacks, assess the security posture, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance their defenses. You will work closely with partners, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the security and resilience of their digital infrastructure.Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on a wide range of systems, including web applications, networks, and mobile apps.Employ various testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.Collaborate with partners to define testing scope, objectives, and constraints.Develop and execute detailed test plans, including manual and automated testing procedures.Analyze and interpret test results, providing clear and concise reports to partners and auditors.Recommend remediation strategies and assist partners in implementing security enhancements.Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.Continuously improve penetration testing methodologies and tools.Collaborate with the security team to enhance overall security awareness and practices within the organization.Participate in knowledge sharing and training sessions for internal teams and partners.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar certifications preferred.Proven experience in penetration testing and ethical hacking.Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nmap.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Commitment to ethical and responsible hacking practices.Illumina believes that everyone has the ability to make an impact, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, creed, color, gender, religion, marital status, domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, pregnancy, military or veteran status, citizenship status, and genetic information.
