This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the facility’s structure, equipment including all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP).Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with the regulatory, quality, environmental, safety and health procedures.Management of new projects, refurbishments, moves and maintenance activities.Sourcing contractors for building refurbishments and ensuring work is completed to standard and within budget.CMMS management and KPI complianceMechanical services repair and renewal management.Statutory requirement testing.Calculating and compiling costs for required goods and services.Responsible for a call-out system for emergencies, security and alarm-related notifications.Fire safety procedures and compliance.Ensuring the site is secure.Provide input into the design and presentation of department performance metrics.Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts to conform to regulatory requirements and industry standards.Responsible for a variety of mechanical service calls and in-house repairs throughout the facility and grounds.Provides guidance and oversees other maintenance personnel.Performs skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair, or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures.Monitor, maintain, document, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC system including Central Plant.May work from sketches, blueprints, and drawings.Act as liaison and supervise work of contractorsBe on call and able to respond 7/24/365Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Requirements:6+ years of biotech industry facilities experience preferredCMMS experience with SAP EAMSkilled in complex maintenance and construction trades and techniques.Ability to read and understand blueprints and be able to read and write routine reports.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSound knowledge of cGMPs or equivalent regulations.Ability to interpret and relate quality standards for implementation and review.Ability to make sound GMP decisions, allocation of resources, and managing priorities.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both in writing and verbally.Flexibility in problem solving, providing direction and work hours to meet business objectives.Ability to work independently and cross functionally in a dynamic environment.Working knowledge of procurement and negotiation and management of external contracts.Previous experience of Facilities management in a technical capacity.Working knowledge of electrical engineering, compressed dry air systems, HVAC, chilled water systems and gas systems.Working experience of health & safety managementMust also have experience and knowledge of basic PC skills and the ability to operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and sanders.Must be able to frequently lift and /or move up to 50 poundsAll listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional task and responsibilities.Experience/Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, with 0-2 years of Supervisory experience. Point person to resolve issues elevated by support personnel.The estimated base salary range for the Supervisor, Facilities role based in the United States of America is: $83,000 - $124,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
