You will love to work with accuracy and efficiency and manage the distribution and logistics process to ensure our customers are getting their deliveries right the first time. This role supports domestic and international shipments. You have significant experience and expertise regarding Planning and Logistics operations. You will have the ability to interface well with internal and external customers and work effectively cross-departmentally with cross-functional colleagues.It's an exciting but also busy role where you will thrive while working under pressure and enjoy delivering exceptional results. You may be a Planning and Logistics expert looking for a next level career opportunity in a forward-thinking organization.You are fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.Responsibilities: Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Planning and Logistics operations Process owner and develop procedures to maintain compliance and/or improve qualityWork with freight forwarders and small parcel network providers to improve performanceOwning the daily responsibilities and supporting the day-to-day tasks with minimal supervisionPlan, schedule, and coordinate the shipment from the supplier until delivery to the customer throughout our internal distribution processParticipant in regional and global (Supply Chain) projects related to logistics. Capable of owning local (smaller) logistics projects and initiativesAcquire and maintain understanding of the technologies utilized in Illumina’s products, parts, and servicesAssist in the training of Illumina’s personnel as requiredProvides guidance to Logistics Coordinator colleagues with Team Leader responsibilities supporting the Supervisor, Planning & Logistics.Manage centralized shared mailbox for the Planning and Logistics team which is used by internal stakeholders and our (external) vendors/carriers.Other ad hoc request pertaining to the scope of Warehouse and Logistics with the focus on Planning & LogisticsResponsible for ensuring compliance with all quality regulations Preferred skills and experience include:Interprets laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.Understanding of basic inventory management conceptsAbility to analyze and resolve planning problems independentlyIn-depth knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
