In this role you will be responsible for achieving the commercial targets for your region, you will also liaise with wider commercial teams to support and strengthen our growing reputation in this field, collaborating successfully across all parts of the business.This is a German speaking role and you must also be fluent in English. You will covering Austria and Switzerland as a region and must be happy to travel 40% of the time and if you lived by an airport location that would be preferable.Why YouAs Clinical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for selling complex technical products and/or services. This would typically be only a single product or product line or a very limited number of the organization’s products, typically a technology or those that are strategic in nature. You will be experienced in carrying a sales quota may manage and coordinate the sales and technical team in support of the sale of the organization’s products. You will be a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales.We are looking for a team player with excellent listening, communication, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. You will also have strong technical presentation skills. You'll be highly self-motivated and successful individual who enjoys a challenging and dynamic work environmentwith a strong desire to win business and establish long term customer relationships.Illumina's employee benefits are industry-leading and include, flexible time off, private medical insurance, compassion and care time off, leisure travel insurance, pension, employee stock purchasing program, volunteer time off, and much more!Responsibilities include;Incorporate an entrepreneurial spirit and high motivation to drive business to win new accounts and grow existing accounts within the Clinical Market via strategic and tactical sales activities, related to the specific goals set out for the Sales Specialist team in EuropeWrite and execute a strategic business plan to exceed revenue targets by growing current base, gaining new customers with a focus on early innovator labs, and leveraging awareness through professional consortia in your territorySupport, train and educate Territory Account Manager’s (TAM’s) / Partner Account Manager’s (PAM’s) through commercialization plans, customer visits, providing application and presentation resources, enabling them to have qualifying questions and keeping them up to date on all relevant new product launches within defined market segmentIdentify and drive sales opportunities within the defined market and build a short/medium/long term sales pipeline, supported by the TAM’s and/or PAM’sWith your Marketing Specialist, prepare and present compelling customer sales presentations to support the TAM’s / PAM’sCoordinate and communicate sales activities and strategies effectively to direct Management and sales force colleaguesTake responsibility and drive strategic projects within your territory that will be supported by the relevant marketing & Market Dev. and Market Access partners and  leverage your key opinion leader networkDevelop and maintain all account/contact details within Illumina’s CRM databaseProvide regular and accurate sales forecast updates, keeping your TAM’s / PAM’s and Manager fully informed of all opportunitiesAttendance at tradeshows/conferencesProvide voice of field and voice of customer information to the relevant Marketing and Product Management partnerSatisfy all product and technology training requirements as established by Sales Management and the Training departmentExperience/Education;BA/BS or MS/PhD preferred in Life Sciences, Medical or Health CarePreferred RGH and or Oncology Experiential BackgroundSignificant experience in clinical and/or translational salesKnowledge of the clinical market and emerging trends within the districtStrong technical background in molecular biology, genomics, NGS is preferredProven commercial track record growing specific, targeted/relevant marketsWell-developed professional and strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts through networking at all levels of the customer’s organizationAble to identify and develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders through strategic networking and independent researchWhat Can You Expect Our team members are bright, energetic and dedicated - they are the driving force behind our innovation and impact.
