Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Position Summary:Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the Accounting Analyst will play an integral role supporting the corporate accounting team, recording accounting activity, reviewing transactions, and working independently as well as collaboratively with other finance and cross-functional team members. The successful candidate will be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment, interacting with all levels of our organization, international team members, and external auditors. *Illumina offers hybrid and remote work arrangements. Must be able to commute to our San Diego HQ at least once per month or as needed basis.Responsibilities:Support to the Accounting, Manager in the protection of our company’s assets; includes performing month-end account analysis, reconciliations, journal entry posting, and quarterly presentations.Record payroll accruals including 401K, PTO, relocation as part of the monthly close process; Prepare and maintain journal entry support.Partner with the accounts receivable team to record bad debt and complete accounts receivable reconciliations and journals as part of the month end close process. Process the travel and temp labor accounting clearing, recorded and reconciling accounts, partnering with accounts payable to resolve any clearing issues.Support in fixed asset accounting and processing. Reconcile monthly balance sheet related accounts and other month-end close duties.Responsible for maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley internal control narratives and testing documentation for areas of responsibilitiesParticipate in quarterly reviews and annual audit.Ad hoc projects and tasks as required.All listed responsibilities are deemed essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Requirements:Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system) is preferred.Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and tight deadlines; superior attention to detail is a must.Must have the ability to evaluate an accounting or business situation, understand how it works and determine what is means.  Must be flexible in terms of adjusting schedule to various demands driven by our dynamic business environment.Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally to peers and managers.Effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical projects with other functional groups.Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting regulationsKnowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPointStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writingEducation/Experience:Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; CPA desirable#LI-HYBRIDThe estimated base salary range for the Accounting Analyst (Hybrid/Remote) role based in the United States of America is: $60,500 - $90,700. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
