Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Responsibilities:Lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of the Product Cybersecurity Portfolio that aligns with the industry standards and regulatory requirements in accordance with the company policiesEnsure the cybersecurity standards that maintain the trust and integrity of our research and clinical customers are incorporated into product development and on-market activities.Identify, assess, prioritize cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and threats specific to Illumina products, in accordance with Illumina procedures and defined roles and responsibilities.Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance standards and ensure companywide adherence to these requirementsDevelop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures to protect sensitive dataInterpret internal/external business and regulatory challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services.Oversee a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives, projects and resources, ensuring timely execution and effective risk mitigation.Identify strategic opportunities for the platform, portfolio, or business unit and effectively communicate them to executives.Mentors and develops team members.May manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors and service providers to ensure the security of third party services.Develop and manage the Core R&D cybersecurity budget, allocate resources effectively and optimize cybersecurity investments.Ensure projects have solid development plans including detailed timelines with durations, dependencies, critical path, and milestones.Prepare and present product cybersecurity reports to senior management and stakeholders on the status of product cybersecurity initiatives, emerging threats, and key performance indicatorsDrive the application of best-in-class project management approaches and techniques to achieve optimal project outcomesInterpret internal/external business and regulatory challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, and services. Typically initiates and drives (or mentors) these activities.Generate ideas and proactively contribute to a teach-and-learn culture to support the success of others and the department.Transform data into insights and then into ideas and identify opportunities to accelerate project execution and effectiveness.Requirements and Experience:Proven experience in cybersecurity management, preferably in the healthcare or life science sectorStrong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, risk management and complianceFamiliarity with genomic data security and associated regulatory requirements is a plusExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal and leadership skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem solving abilitiesExceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex cybersecurity projectsExtensive experience with global product development processes.Influence, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to influence without clear reporting authority. Ability to identify and manage stakeholders, including at the most senior levels in the organization.Expert at portfolio level budgeting, including prioritizing trade-offs.Education and Certification:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and typically a minimum of 14 years of related experienceProfessional certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other relevant certifications preferredPMP certification highly desired#LI-HYBRIDThe estimated base salary range for the Director Program Management, Cybersecurity role based in the United States of America is: $180,100 - $270,100. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
