Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Position Summary:                     The Event Specialist is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, measurement, and reporting of customer facing events and webinars for the marketing and commercial teams in the Americas region.The ability to manage a high volume of events and utilize digital platforms to independently plan and execute in person and virtual events is essential. A can-do attitude, the ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams and the desire to drive operational efficiency are critical for success in the position. Sourcing hotel venues, creating registration sites using Cvent, negotiating vendor contracts, managing programs on-site, compliance reporting (Sunshine Act), and budgeting are also essential.Responsibilities: Work closely with marketing and sales counterparts to plan and execute all elements of virtual and in-person customer facing eventsLead cross-functional teams in the execution of external facing meetings and eventsEstablish event budgets, reconcile final charges, and report on spend including Transfers of Value (TOV) for Health Care ProfessionalsPrepare RFP’s, source event locations, and negotiate contractsUse digital event platforms to set-up and execute virtual eventsCreate event registration sites and email communications using CventManage F&B, AV, housing, and transportationSpeaker management including contracting, honoraria processing, and communication   Ensure event compliance with all corporate and government policiesPreferred Requirements: CMP Certification desiredCvent Certification desiredMinimum 3 years corporate event planning experience including managing budget, sourcing, contracting, BEOs, registration, housing, ground transportation, audio/visual, reportingExperience using Cvent for sourcing, event website building, email communications, & registration managementProven leadership and project management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsMust have demonstrated effective collaboration in a matrix or highly cross-functional businessExperience in medical, pharma, biotech, or life science meetings is desiredExperience with TOV and compliance reportingAbility to travel 10-15% of the timeAll listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Preferred Experience/Education: Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.The estimated base salary range for the Events Specialist - AMR Marketing role based in the United States of America is: $65,800 - $98,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
