The Corporate Development team is responsible for strategizing, sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing company-wide M&A and investment opportunities. As the leader of the team, this role will collaborate with Adobe's senior executives and business leaders on Adobe's inorganic growth strategy. We are seeking an individual who will develop investment themes on new markets, propose M&A/investment ideas, and work with product teams to evaluate potential targets. As a deal lead, this individual will quarterback the M&A process, working closely with functional leaders across finance, legal, sales, tax and HR to build financial/valuation models, drive due diligence, develop post-acquisition critical metrics, and help define a robust integration/operating plan. This position provides unparalleled senior executive exposure up to and including the board of directors and is often the avenue to operational and general management roles throughout the company.What you’ll doWork closely with business leaders on strategy development, including identifying current product  adjacencies evaluating build/buy/partner options, and collaborating on target selection criteriaIdentify new opportunities to accelerate the business, while also driving evaluation of future growth opportunities for Adobe overallResearch new markets, identify key trends, and translate data into impactful insightsDevelop pipeline of prospective targets and be an Adobe brand ambassador to external partnersPartner with business unit leaders and lead discussions with our Executive Team to drive decisionsDrive M&A and investment opportunities through execution, negotiation, and due diligence, including financial modeling and valuationLead the Corporate Development and M&A Integration team and mentor team members through the deal process; project manage the full deal process across the broader organizationGuide and support post-acquisition integration efforts by leading/managing our Integration teamDevelop network of industry contacts, venture capital firms, and investment banking/advisory executives to bring knowledge of market trends and opportunities to bear on strategic discussionsWhat you'll need to succeedMinimum 15-year track record of leading a broad range of M&A deal types and detailed knowledge of the overall deal processSolid leadership experience and team management skillsPassion for and deep understanding of industry trends, and key industry metricsDeep network of relevant companies and industry contactsExperience in investment banking, corporate development and M&A integrationKnowledge of investments/ venture capitalStrategic problem solver who can help connect the dots in terms of where we operate today and new opportunities for transformative growthStrong analytical skills with extensive valuation/financial modeling experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence across the organization and at the Executive and board levelAbility to effectively build relationships with internal and external partnersStrong self-starter; ability to champion opportunities and ensure decisions are made MBA highly desirable; or equivalent practical experience At Adobe, you will be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized around the world! The U.S. pay range for this position is $213,400 -- $448,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
