The Role Veeva is seeking a non-traditional HR leader to deliver critical employee services to our growing team in China. We are looking for someone who can think outside the square and have strong critical thinking skills to solve problems for Veeva China as we scale our operations. This individual will be a player-coach, working closely with leaders in China on people-related topics. The ideal candidate will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to help cultivate a strong and innovative Veeva culture as we grow at a rapid pace. You will lead the Employee Success team for Veeva China, including the HRBP and Talent Acquisition teams. We are looking for an individual from a consulting background with a proven track record of delivering business outcomes outside HR. If you have talent development experience, this is also a plus.  What You'll Do Drive implementation of China HR programs, process, and talent management initiatives Act as a primary business partner for key stakeholders Provide clear and compelling counsel to management and teams on people-related issues, including performance management, employee relations, and organizational design Provide expertise in the following areas: performance management, leadership and manager coaching, employee relations matters, data analysis Identify and deploy impactful people strategies and policies for Veeva China that enable the organization to perform effectively and scale efficiently as it grows Solve problems no matter how complex and align with the China business Provide insightful data to guide decision-making and offer proactive solutions Requirements 7+ years of overall experience 3+ years experience as an HR Business Partner with a focus on Talent Attraction in fast growth, a global tech company is preferred; or 2+ years in HR consulting with at least three years as an HR Business Partner with a focus on Talent Attraction  2+ years of experience in building solid teams and understanding the evolving role of the business partner  Ability to scale with both a strategic and hands-on aptitude  Ability to assess needs, understand core issues, and achieve results with minimum supervision Adept at influencing through solid relationships, expertise, and data; comfortable managing stakeholders in local and virtual environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis Excellent communication skills Bilingual in English and Chinese Strong critical thinking skills and aptitude for learning multiple processes and systems Nice to Have Experience working in the technology industry or at an enterprise software company Perks & Benefits Fitness Reimbursements Employee Development 2% Veeva’s headquarters is located in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices in more than 15 countries around the world.
