The Opportunity Adobe Express is looking for a software engineer to contribute to the development of our new generation of web apps. They provide outstanding tools for creative collaboration and are built on a cloud native platform which using modern software engineering approaches and tools such as: containerization, continuous delivery, monorepo, infrastructure-as-code, and continuous experimentation. We are passionate about what we build at Adobe and are looking for motivated future colleagues to join us. What you’ll do Influence the application architecture by using your software development expertise to propose and work on architectural decisions; Develop qualitative code in an agile manner with a focus on finding better solutions for our customers’ needs; Perform code reviews in the designated area of ownership and make sure that features are efficiently implemented and maintainable; Actively participate in scrum ceremonies such as grooming, planning, sprint review and retrospective to clarify requirements and craft the product's roadmap; Implement application analytics and telemetry, identify performance bottlenecks and address them; Help the organization grow by mentoring junior colleagues, presenting innovative solutions in architectural huddles and participating in hiring interviews. What you’ll need to succeed Mastering data structures, fundamental algorithms, object-oriented programming and design patterns; Working background with Node.js and frameworks such as express.js, nest.js or koa.js; Understanding of cloud-based application architectures (preferably on AWS); Experience in agile software development setups; Basic knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools and build tools; Be quality and performance oriented above all; Eagerness to learn new concepts and innovative technologies.
