We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours! Position: 2024 Intern - Software Development EngineerReq ID: R139225Business Unit:  Walnut Media PlatformLocation: San JoseThe Opportunity Adobe is seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer intern to be part of a core team that is building a new cloud platform that will power Adobe’s next generation of professional video creation tools. This platform will have Machine Learning and Generative Technologies at its core, and this internship will offer the opportunity to collaborate and learn from the world-class engineers and researchers at Adobe, including the creators of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. As a software engineer intern, you will work directly with a team of engineers to build a new video and audio processing platform for Adobe’s Creative Cloud. You will collaborate with engineers who have extensive backgrounds in infrastructure and distributed systems, video and audio processing, and machine learning. All 2024 Adobe interns will be co-located hybrid. This means that interns will be assigned to an Adobe office location, but in-office schedules will be flexible and determined by the team. All interns must live in the same state, country, and within commuting distance of their assigned Adobe office, so they can be on-site as needed. What You’ll Do: Develop high-performance, reliable, testable, scalable and maintainable code. Participate in an agile software development process, including design, development, code review, testing, bug fixing, and code/API documentation. Collaborate with engineers and participate in daily stand ups and meetings. Grow with the support of your team and help others on the team grow by providing thoughtful feedback and uplifting those around you. Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced development team, with clear, positive, and constructive communication.  What You Need to Succeed: Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Strong technical background with analytical and problem-solving skills. Previous related experience in software engineering (applicable coursework, projects, internships, etc.) Proficiency and experience with at least one or more of the following: JavaScript, C++, Python. Experience with distributed systems, machine learning, or image and video processing is a plus. Familiar with the software development lifecycle: designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud services. Results-oriented, with ability and interest in learning new technologies and adapting quickly to new requirements and environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can effectively articulate complex ideas and influence others through well-reasoned explanations. Ability to participate in a full-time internship between May-September. If you’re looking to make an impact, Adobe’s the place for you.
