The Income Tax Accountant should be familiar with a variety of tax related concepts, practices, and procedures, specifically direct tax. This position reports to the Director, Global Taxation.Essential Job Functions: In-depth knowledge and understanding of corporate income taxesAssist with providing required data to outsourced compliance provider for global income tax provision reporting and return complianceReview draft federal, state, and international income tax filings prepared by outside advisorsPrepare quarterly tax provision calculations and entries as part of the tax accounting processMake quarterly state income and franchise tax paymentsAbility to research complex issues and communicate findingsMonitor and respond to tax noticesMonitor and report changes in federal, state, and international tax legislationPrepare and analyze tax account reconciliationsResponsible for coordinating annual report preparation for all necessary states.Assist with information gathering for direct tax audits with various taxing authorities.Identify and assist with the implementation of process improvement ideas in tax processes.Document procedures and processes for all job functions.Assist with outsourced indirect tax compliance, including:Gather information for property tax complianceMake miscellaneous tax payments as neededPrepare and file business/sales tax licenses and renewalsAssist with information gathering of tax projectsRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 5 years of related experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of experience, ideally in software or SaaS industry.Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel knowledgeRecent work experience with NetSuite (Oracle)Blackline and SalesForce experience a plusMust have experience with account reconciliations and strong analytical, problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in fast paced environmentStrong work ethic with high degree of accuracy and attention to detailInquisitive disposition and eager to learn new skills, tools and processesHealth & WellnessHybrid & Remote Work Opportunities                                                                  Flexible Time OffCareer Development & Mentoring ProgramsGenerous Retirement Benefit Plans, including a company-matching HSA program.Health & Wellness Benefits, including a 12-weeks of parental leave for eligible new parentsCommunity Volunteering & Company Philanthropy ProgramsEmployee Peer Recognition Programs – “You Earned it”How We Give Back to the Community:You can learn more about our Q2 Spark Program, Q2 Philanthropy fund, and our employee volunteering programs on our Q2 Community page.
