We are looking for a senior professional with a strong employee/ labor relations and compliance background and experience with global labor laws. We are looking for a professional with a strong operational mindset to handle complex employee inquiries that may require cross functional collaboration for efficient and timely resolution with a laser focus on an exceptional employee experience and a consistent customer service approach.You will be part of the Global People Operations team reporting to the SVP, People Operations. What You Will Be Doing: Serve as trusted partner in the employee experience by building and facilitating people relations processes that emphasize fair, consistent, and respectful outcomes.Proactively identify, manage, and monitor risks and propose improvements and risk mitigation strategies.Lead a team that manages and ensure compliance with all employment law regulations, social relations, and practices for countries where TTD operates.Responsible for creating global framework and policies to strengthen our foundational operating model. Create/update regional handbooks including countries where TTD operates. Partner with Legal as needed to ensure policies and practices comply with applicable country and local laws and regulations.Continue to refine and evolve regional guidelines and compliance repository.Ensure required compliance and regulatory trainings are launched and tracked according to local requirements.Design/refine a framework of operational processes to ensure effective resolutions. Provide support and guidance to employees and managers related to workplace issues, policies, and relationships.Reduce risk by utilizing program design and leveraging guidelines to promote consistent people relations and business decisions.Ensure people relations policies and practices comply with applicable regulations.Oversee the application of companywide workplace policies and procedures.Provide guidance and counsel on people relations issues and workplace practices.Analyze metrics/KPIs, reporting/adherence and use data driven insights to recommend and implement continuous process improvements.Other projects as needed. What You Bring To The Table: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.10-12 years of experience working in employee relations with solid, working knowledge of the principles and practices of the function.At least 5 years of proven progressive leadership experience in situations requiring change and evolution in uncertain and ambiguous situations.Strong ability to build trust, along with demonstrated ability to drive and lead results in solving complex employee issues with sensitivity, diplomacy, and discretion. Agile and able to adapt as projects and priorities change and able to remain composed, positive, and gritty in the face of any setbacks or challenges. Stellar communication skills, conflict management and resolution skills with experience in delivering sensitive messaging of all types to a wide variety of stakeholders. Results driven ability with problem analysis and resolution skills.Practical understanding and experience across key HR functional areas, processes, and practices, including both technical and non-technical functions. Maintain depth of knowledge on current legislation and advanced labor relations techniques while providing advice, guidance, and recommendations for problem resolution. Proven ability to work with all levels of the organization and across functional areas. Able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives and to discover solutions and build consensus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Generous and open communication style. Our Compensation and Benefits ( for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $133,700 -$245,100In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.
