It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.The Role and the Team Proofpoint is looking for an experienced International Payroll Specialist to cover maternity leave. This will initially be a 12 month temporary contract.The Payroll Specialist will report to International Payroll Manager and will support all duties associated with the accurate and timely processing of Proofpoint’s international payrolls as well as assist in all payroll related financial close tasks. This role will work closely with Human Resources on international payroll-related matters and will interact closely with the international accounting team to complete all close related tasks. This individual will be driven, highly motived, pro-active, detail oriented and self-directed.Job RequirementsInternational Payroll SpecialistThe responsibilities include but are not limited to3+ years of experience processing payroll both domestically and in a global environmentEnsure the monthly payroll operation meets/exceeds the published service standards and is within the agreed timetableDevelops and implements user application test plans; executes test plans and identifies discrepancies; implements corrective measures.Work closely with the international payroll vendors to manage relationships whilst ensuring payroll processing occurs for Proofpoint employees in EMEA LATAM & APAC regions.Assist international employees with pay related issues and escalationsAssist with monthly reconciliations and provided detailed support with/to the international accounting teamCoordinate research projects and preparation of management reports as neededEnsure operational and SOX controls are properly performed within the payroll process.Ensure all key payroll controls are performed accurately and fully documentedAudit payroll tax payments made by payroll vendor to ensure deposits are received timelyWhat you bring to the teamExperience with international payroll processing requirements and regulationsMaintain confidentiality in all assignments and in all information obtainedAbility to organize and prioritise work to meet deadlinesHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailStrong stakeholder management skillsGood working knowledge of Microsoft business suite, specifically excelKnowledge of international payroll vendor(s) software/processesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization both internally and externallyIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
