We are looking for a Senior Director of External Reporting to join our Finance leadership team. This role will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and lead financial reporting, technical accounting and stock administration teams. You will be responsible for leading, developing and producing the highest quality financial reporting, providing strategic direction in technical accounting matters, and managing stock administration. This position will engage with Investor Relations on analyst presentations, Treasury on financing initiatives, and Corporate Finance on forecasting scenarios. Key to success will be your ability to partner effectively with the company’s Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, External Audit and HR-Compensation teams to produce industry leading accounting, reporting and operational excellence.What You'll Be Doing:Leading the financial reporting team on drafting and filing all financial documents and SEC filingsCoordinating with senior leaders to produce our earnings documents including drafting the most complex or unique matters in a simple, easy, and understandable wayAccounting technical leader for transactions under existing or future rules including overseeing policy updates for FASB pronouncements and drafting comment letters on proposed rulesLeading a stock administration team solving complex global issuesProcess owner for the global consolidated audit to resolve issues and avoid delays while keeping all collaborators informedWhat we need to see:Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting w/active CPA license or equivalent experienceA minimum of 15 overall years of experience with time within a Big 4 and a global Fortune 500 company preferably with high tech industry and controllership experienceTechnical accounting expertise in SEC reporting requirements, business combinations, share-based compensation and complex structures5+ years of experience leading a team of 7+ employeesA desire to excel as a leader and mentor, who disseminates knowledge and inspires others to learnSuperb written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationWays to stand out from the crowd:Leading external reporting at a Fortune 200 companyPossess deep technical accounting knowledge base with experience in a Big 4 National OfficeStrong background of establishing relationships with cross-functional business partnersReal passion for continuous improvement of systems and processesNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
