Performance Lab HPC and Deep Learning Intern

NVIDIA Performance Lab is looking to fill intern position in HPC/DL team to support firm’s growing investments in HPC and Deep Learning applications. You will be part of global team and will work to improve our team’s ability to test a growing number of HPC and DL applications. We also work to develop new benchmarks for HPC and DL software and libraries while we coordinate with multi-functional teams to develop automation tools based on their needs.With your help, our team will reduce request completion time, perform more challenging programming tasks, increase testing coverage of HPC and DL software, and better serve our customers through new and improved testing processes. We work in a dynamic environment where multiple projects will be active at once and priorities may shift frequently.What you’ll be doing:Run performance tests using an automated testing environment and analyze the results.Analyzing the data, you will produce reports to be shared with our customers.Configure computer systems with appropriate hardware and software to carry out performance testing.Develop software to automate the testing of HPC and DL applications and improve existing testing processes.Learn to use the latest HPC and DL applications with the latest hardware.What we need to see:Solid programming and debugging skills in scripting languages such as Python or Unix shell.Advanced knowledge using Linux-based systems (Ubuntu strongly preferred).Proficiency in compiling software from source code, including debugging errors encountered.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to summarize findings in a written report.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Experience with GPU-enabled DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).Background with Slurm-based computer clusters.We are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
