Seeking professional to work in our Santa Clara Automotive Failure Analysis laboratory. Innovation through cross-function partnership and using leading edge technology to automate failure analysis in new product introduction phase are primary goals for this position, with opportunities to learn and develop new skills. Help us as we build new tools, refine the current ones, and integrate comprehensive failure analysis solution in product development flow and process!What you'll be doing:Build our failure analysis toolbox and integrate into failure analysis framework and process flow. We will be crafting and developing custom sockets, fixtures, and peripherals which are used company wide to tackle sophisticated hardware failures. We will also be leveraging scripts and configuration files to automate the failure analysis process during new product introduction phase and collecting feedback from production phase for continuous improvement.Select and purchase the latest test equipment to help as we identify and diagnose the root cause of failures, building automation to connect and integrate into production flow.Work with project team to integrate and automate solutions during in new product introduction phase. Detail the solutions we build and communicate with project execution team for regular status updates and feedback.Train new users on your failure analysis technical and process and rollout integrated solutions across the organization.Maintain project and solution databases, updating with improvements and changes to ensure lessons learned are not forgotten and are accessible by entire organization.What we need to see:Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience5+ years experienceExperience conducting Failure Analysis on board products.Strong understanding of Shell and Python scripting languages to aid in development, identify bugs, optimize performance, and make vital modifications.Familiarity with mechanical systems, design, and hands on experience building like items.Clearly communicate and collaborate with both immediate team and external team members to understand their requirements, provide updates, and seek clarifications if needed.Able to identify, analyze, and resolve hardware and software elated issues by applying their problem-solving skills. A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate delivery of data and documentationAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing knowledge, and chipping in to the overall success of the Failure Analysis Solution development process.Willing to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies to stay updated with the latest advancements in both software and hardware. Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities is also crucial.Ways to stand out of the crowd:Experience with crafting robotic or automation systemsExcellent mechanical skills including usage of basic hand tools and additive manufacturing experienceThe base salary range is $124,000 - $195,500.
