Join a diverse applied research team that is building a next generation of Conversational AI systems! We work on new models for speech recognition, speech synthesis, and natural language processing. Our team crafted Jasper, QuartzNet, CitriNet and other innovative neural models for ASR and text-to-speech. We also developed algorithms to accelerate training large models on our GPU cloud. We release new models as part of NeMo - open-source toolkit for Conversational AI used by many companies for such applications as customer service, voice assistants, etc. We collaborate with research and product teams, as well as researchers from top academic machine learning labs.What you'll be doing:Develop new Deep Learning models for automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis, neural machine translation and natural languageDesign new large scale training algorithmOpen-source models using NeMo conversational AI frameworksMentor internsPublish research papers on top speech and NLP conferencesCollaborate with universities and research teams.What we need to see:PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)Proven understanding of Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing or Speech RecognitionAt least 2 years of research experience in speech recognition or NLPExcellent Python programming skillsExperience with PyTorchStrong publications recordWays to stand out from the crowd:Contribution to open-source projectsBeing reviewers for one of the top speech conferencesThe base salary range is $156,000 - $287,500.
