We are looking for a Research Scientist to study Human vision and/or movement!As AI fundamentally revolutionizes aspects of life and society, it is increasingly meaningful to ensure AI technologies are accountable, ethically fair, responsible, and safely coexist with humans. We want scientists with proven experience in aspects of human perception and action and expertise in modeling human behavior in applications such as gaming, video conferencing, robotics, and AR/VR.What you'll be doing:Identify key questions for guiding products in generative AI and interactive video systems and applicationsPublish original research and speak at conferences and eventsCollaborate with researchers and product innovators inside and outside NVIDIAImpact our products with evidence and prototypesWhat we need to see:A Ph.D. degree in Vision Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Neuroscience, or related fields (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in human vision and/or movement.Able to design, implement, conduct, and analyze behavioral experiments involving interactive visual stimulus and response collection.Able to propose quantitative models that explain or predict human behaviors under certain circumstances.Excellent interpersonal skills among interdisciplinary fields and inter-functional teams.Proficient in programming languages, preferably C++, Python, and MATLAB.Experienced in conducting experiments involving large-scale datasets.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Highly knowledgeable in data science and statistics.Crafted a visual/auditory/haptic user interface, preferably for game play.Have trained yourself and/or others to improve skill level in esports, traditional sports, music, or any field requiring systematic training.Have interest, knowledge, and experience in using generative AI tools.With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
