We are now looking for a Compliance Engineer. This role identifies risks to the safety or security of our operational staff and critical infrastructure at data center and lab facilities. You will guide teams to excel in audits and certifications, and be a catalyst for development of our operating procedures.What you’ll be doing:Partner with the EHS department on compliance programs, procedures, and training.Initiate workshops and training classes for IT operational staff on subject areas including hazard recognition, assessment and mitigation related to fire, electrical, and electrical components; workplace exposure to chemicals, heat, and cold stressors; indoor and outdoor air quality, and working at height.Partner with physical security and information security teams to align on measures taken with data center spaces. Participate as key contributor for the team in ISO27001 measures.Develop program for regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with ISO, national requirements, operational procedures, local site requirements, and safety programEnsure proper chemical and waste management and maintain chemical inventories, safety data sheets, chemical labeling in chemical storage areas. Conduct hazardous waste inspections and supervise hazardous waste disposal.Coordinate and engage with firms and internal teams as the primary point of contact for audits and compliance inspections within IT site operations organizationProduct Manager role for the development of standard operating procedures and emergency operating procedures. Proactively identify issues with operational procedures and production of a backlog list of corrective actions. Engage with dev-ops team in generation and modification of documents through regular sprint cyclesLeverage experience in AI to explore ways to integrate autonomous solutions into our documentation processes and improve team performanceWhat we need to see:Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience8+ years of operations experience or environmental health and safety within data centersKnowledge of auditing policies, standards, and proceduresExperience in data center operations with a focus on safety complianceSuccessful management and completion of past ISO auditsProficient in developing and driving operating proceduresWays to stand out from the crowd:Knowledge of relevant ISO standardsCertifications such as OSHA 30Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including Excel/G-Suite skills and able to learn new software packages.With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers; we have some of the most forward-thinking and talented people in the world working for us and, due to unparalleled growth, outstanding teams are rapidly growing.
