Job SummarySenior Directors of Product Marketing lead the process of creating go-to-market strategies for products, portfolios of solutions, as well as relevant buyer personas. This includes product positioning/messaging, marketing strategy and sales enablement. They support marketing and sales areas, identifying emerging market opportunities and focusing sales efforts to achieve revenue goals by solution, market, and industry categories. They also participate in the product strategy and the road map planning process, representing the market perspective and supporting product decisions based on significant sales, customer and market feedback. The Senior Director of Product Marketing may manage multiple teams of Product Marketers.ResponsibilitiesCreate go-to-market strategies for assigned products, markets and/or solutions, and ensure the execution of the plan meets business goalsManage buyer persona, platform and point-solution initiatives to focus sales efforts and to ensure the achievement of revenue and profit goals for specific markets and/or solutionsDrive the development, execution, and delivery of thought leadership content (webinars, blogs, white papers, etc.) to advance credibility and awareness, and drive pipelineCollaborate with Product Management, Industry Principals, Sales, Sales Operations, and Field Readiness for successful sales roll-outs of sales enablement and support toolsDevelop product positioning/messaging, competitive and win/loss analysisIdentify key functional, ecosystem, and operational requirements to better serve the targeted marketProvide consulting and management support to marketing and sales areas, identifying emerging market opportunitiesDevelops and/or enhances pricing and packaging strategiesConsult with customers in partnership with Product Management and Sales to explore product and market opportunities, acts as the product evangelist, internally and externally, by supporting special sales calls or designated speaking engagementsBecome an influencer through thought leadership exposure and speaking engagements across industry associationsWhat You'll NeedSkillsAbility to manage multiple teamsAbility to work directly with customersExtraordinary listening and communication skillsPassion for products and discovering new features to meet market needsEnjoys working with metrics and analytics that drive decision makingExperience12+ years of experience in roles relating to product development, product marketing, product management, finance and accounting, audit, consulting, financial services, and product salesMinimum 8 years of direct people management experience preferredExperience in the technology sector preferredTrack record of building marketing and sales programsEducationB.A./B.S. degree in marketing, business, or similar area of study preferredMBA or MA or equivalent scope of experience preferredExperience in finance and accounting, audit, consulting, financial services, or product salesTravel RequirementUp to 40% travelWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.#LI-REMOTEWhere You’ll WorkOur values drive how we work and who we hire.
