Global Employee Relations InvestigatorDescription -Collaborates across the Human Resource function and businesses in the design and deployment of  labour relations, employee relations, compliance and crisis management strategies, policies, programs and services consistent with HP business and HR priorities across the functions and/or geographies. Consults with human resource partners to develop, plan and implement solutions to address unique organizational needs and requirements. Leads the human resources assigned investigations and management of executive escalations, disciplinary policies, procedures and practices. Development, deployment and overall management of HP's Employee Representatives Groups, including works councils, unions etc. Ensures the engagement, I&C requirements and frameworks are in place in the pursuit of a collaborative relationship in the interest of our employees and our businesses. Examines impact of company agreements to ensure HP business priorities and our ability to compete in the local markets remains a priority.  Monitors legislation changes that affect HR programs, processes and/or polices and partners legal and country teams to determine the impact and project manages the implementation to ensure compliance. Manages the HR Global Policy change framework, statutory training, RBA & Human Rights audit activity, Employee Background Screening , Affirmative Action and the Crisis Management program on behalf of the HR function.  Responsibilities:Supports and/or manages and conducts investigations with a medium to high complexity.  Provides investigation pre-planning i.e. scoping and plan development support for other ER team members.Contributes to the proposal of pro-active ER strategies. Acts as an ER consultant managing HR escalations of medium to high complexity.Partners employment law, ECO, Integrity Councils and HR in the review of case findings and proposed HR recommendations.Responsible for developing labor relations assessments, reporting and contributes to ensuring disciplinary policies, procedures, practices and documentation is kept up to date.Support the development and delivery of training to HR, business leaders and manager.Monitors the changing internal and external environment regarding employee relation matters.Contributes to case studies and the overall evolution of the Global Employee Relations Framework, including program, policies, procedures,  practices and system enhancements.Supports the management of the relationship with Employee Representative Groups (Works Councils, Unions etc) on behalf of HP.Provides support to other team members as it relates to the development of the strategy and negotiation proposals, meetings, examining agreements, building and updating requirements.  Supports program change activities as it relates to information & consultation.Acts as a consultant regarding labor relations matters of medium to high complexity.Monitors the internal and external environment and develops pro-active labor relations plans.Supports and/or attends external hearings, as required.Acts as a compliance consultant on matters of medium to high complexity.Monitors the external environment to keep abreast of legislation changes that may impact HR programs, processes and/or practices.Supports or leads RBA/Human Rights Audits.Provides advice to stakeholders regarding HR Policies, supports countries  providing business considered compliance solutions for BAU activities. strategy, programs.Manages the overall program and the delivery of HP's Global Background Employee Screening program and process in line with the HR Compliance priorities.Partners Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Business Managers, HR Compliance, Employee Relations, and/or legal in the review and adjudication of cases with high complexity.Provide support to the GES team members on cases with higher complexity.Partners First Advantage regarding the development of the program, improvements and metric.Acts as an execution point for internal stakeholders and candidates.Liaises with the candidate regarding the background screening data requirements, process, findings and outcome.Manages post-employment screening process, where applicable as it relates to contractual background screening requirements i.e. drug, vaccination testing.Knowledge and Skills:Strong project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Experienced in managing complex ER, LR & HR Compliance matter across geographies to drive business aligned solutions.Strong communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation).Strong business acumen, technical knowledge of multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.Strong understanding of HP's policies and processes.Impact and Scope:Partners with Legal and external consultants to define requirements. Design manages and deploys a global unique and complex strategies within a service delivery model.Contributes to the strategy and success of larger projects which contribute to multiple areas of the organization.Provides guidance for Human Resources, Business Managers, Integrity Councils.Oversees the overall program and service delivery of the global team.Decisions with regard to recommendations and strategies may have organizational impacts beyond a year.Complexity:Moderate: Some senior management interface; frequent cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction on execution of tacticsApplies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in relevant a area or demonstrated competence.
