Collections Manager (Evergreen)Description -The following posting is a pipeline requisition, meant to accumulate candidates for Cash Collections Analyst in Guadalajara, Mexico. Qualified applicants will be contacted in concert with the approval and publication of identical, approved positions within HP. Manages non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members'work may involve strategic issues. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Typically reports to Manager 2 or Director.Additional guidance/criteria:Manages and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region which is part of a larger geographical Region.Manages at least 4 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.Responsibilities: Manages employees and teams of employees, from Entry to Master levels, by setting and monitoring performance goals and objectives, allocating resources and staff, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of credit decisions and collection issue resolutions.Ensures that metrics for individuals are aligned with corporate objectives and identifies talent to develop.Manages the credit or collection activities in a country.Dialogues with employees (up to executive level) at other internal organizations to resolve issues, particularly the issues that are causing non-payment.Judges how much credit risk to support for a given customer and presents arguments to support credit decisions to management, with authority to grant credit according to authority matrix.Negotiates with large customers (up to partner and upper level management) regarding contracts and payment structures or to collect customer payments.Resolves issues with large customers.Proposes structural changes for the organization that will make it more efficient.Education and Experience Required: First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree in business preferred.Typically 8-10 years of experience in a credit or collection function.Typically 0-2 years of supervisory experience.Knowledge and Skills: Content expert in the field of credit or collection with a strong systematic knowledge of accounting principles and internal processes and standards.Ability to manage a team and to motivate and develop people.Advanced understanding of credit, finance, and risk mitigation tools.Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.Excellent project management skills.Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize.In-depth knowledge of economic and political environment.Good conflict management skills.#LI-POSTJob -FinanceSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Mexico)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
