At HP, the future’s yours to create!The Presales Technical Consultant (TC) is representing the full portfolio of HP Computing products, services and solutions to address customer business needs through the full sales process. The TC role is the source of technical expertise for the HP sales teams, partners and customers and engages other technical resources (Presales organization, Alliance partners, regional and Divisional resources, etc.) as needed to advance the sales cycle. The Technical Consultant works with the customer's technology leaders and technical decision makers, delivering a high-level of technical/solutions expertise in order to offer the right solution to the customer in order that HP wins that business.Responsibilities:Technical Consulting for Corporate, Enterprise and Public Sector accounts in Southern Germany and AustriaProvide technical in-depth support in multiple product (Notebook- & Desktop-PC, Workstations, Thin Clients, RPOS) and solution areas (Security, Modern Management, Collaboration, SaaS)Act as trusted advisor to customers based on a deep understanding of the industry, the customer's technical/solution needs and business strategy and driversBuild and develop relationships with key technical influencers and decision makersActively participate in ongoing account planning with the HP account manager for opportunity analysis, technical deal qualification and competitive analysisRecognize and drive attach opportunities for services to the standard HP Computing products (Custom Factory services for OS imaging, BIOS configuration, Pre-Provisioning for Modern Deployment, Security Configuration etc.)Proactively promote, propose and help ensure delivery of the full HP Computing portfolio of products, solutions and services to customer and account teamSupport the sales team in creating and proposing the right solution and answering the technical sections and aspects of tenders, RFI and RFP customer requestsHelp identify and exploit technical weaknesses of competitive products and promote technical strengths or the HP products/solutionsDevelop and propose the best technical solution for the customer needs at the right price point in order for HP to win the businessSupport customer evaluations (PoCs) and technical certification of HP products & solutions in customer's environmentEscalating issues appropriately and managing the presales issue resolutionProviding closed-loop feedback to category and product divisionsEducation and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree or vocational training in IT or related fieldPrevious technical working experience is desirablePrevious working experience within sales or customer-facing positions is advantageousKnowledge and Skills:Positive can-do attitude paired with a customer centric approachOut of the box thinking – able to find solutionsGood understanding of the industry and technological innovations & trendsBasic knowledge of PC hardware & Operating System technologiesProficient use of MS OfficeStrong communication and presentation skillsBusiness fluent in German and EnglishTeam player mentalityFlexibility and travel required (25-50%)Driving licenseWhat do we have to offer?Employee-oriented corporate culture - our «HP Way»: we value enthusiasm, regular feedback, trust and respect within our teams.
