Procurement Engineer - Webcam & BatteryDescription -What a Procurement Engineer - Webcam & Battery does at HP:Manages all aspects of the global engineering relationship with one or more key suppliers of external hardware, components, materials, or services for the development and manufacturing of a product lineDesigns and integrates quality requirements, processes, and practices into the development, design, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of products or solutions for a customer segment or business unit.Reviews and evaluates supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards; provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.Reviews reports, test data, and process results for assigned components and subsystems to identify trends and issues, perform root-cause analysis, and develop recommendations for resolutionCommunicates product and process issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects and improve quality.Drives innovation and integration of new supplier technologies and company quality initiatives into product design and manufacturing.Represents the quality engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Lean, Six Sigma green belt or equivalent preferred.Typically 4-6 years experience.Experiences in the PC or Webcam or Battery industries is preferred.Using engineering tools and software packages to test, design, and evaluate products and processes.Strong analytical, statistics, and problem solving skills. Factory process & quality audit experience or ISO9001 knowledge.Understanding of material properties, hardware and electrical component design and manufacture, and industry quality standards and methodologies.Using empirical and root- cause analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies to validate product designs, specifications, and processes.Good teamwork skills.Ability to effectively communicate quality plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.#Li-PostJob -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Thailand)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
