The intern student will work in the logistics organization, a worldwide team that covers the operations management, procurement functions, and the Strategy&Design of HP’s logistics network. This includes all transportation lanes (from intercontinental air/rail/ocean to regional trucking), crossdocking and warehousing, and other logistics services.In this position you’ll learn about the structure, functioning, and evolving challenges of the logistics organization as part of a multinational company, as well as the logistics market dynamics. It will also help you understand the logistics’ specific requirements of a tech industry, and its best practices to best fulfil HP’s business needs in a financial, social, and environmentally sustainable way.Main tasks:General support to the logistics organization with activities including but not limited to:Data modeling to support mgmt. decisions on the design of the logistics network.
