Senior Financial AnalystDescription -This role directly supports the Print World Wide Supply Chain Sourcing team and is required to apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. Will act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle unique situations and may seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.What a Senior Financial Analyst does at HP:Lead, drive and review Direct material trends with a focus on commodity market trend.Drive Sourcing strategies associated with market risk from both supply and COS perspective.Drive Sourcing Initiatives and support COS savings programs.Support to key transformation projects (new sourcing, resiliency in particular).Support to Planning and reporting, of which LTP, Flash and budget.Provide complex, financial analysis for a financial function or a business.Establish and maintain relationships with business leaders to guide and influence decision-making.Represent finance on cross- functional teams.Provide mentoring and guidance to analysts.Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.Typically experienced in more than one finance function.Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.Excellent analytical skills.Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).Excellent communication and influencing skills.Superior teamwork skillsStrong business acumen.Good project management skills.Sustainable impact is HP’s commitment to create positive, lasting change for the planet, its people, and our communities.
